Killinochchi: The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) held area of Paranthan – Mulaitivu road area in a civilians’ settlement came under aerial attacks from the Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. The SLAF attack killed four civilians and injured 17 others including a couple, according to the Tharmapuram hospital sources. Sri Lanka: SF fires Shells at Killinochchi Hospital; Shells Injures 3 Children from the same Family
Killinochchi: Heavy barrages of shells were fired by the government forces on the Killinochchi government hospital on Tuesday evening between 3:50 to 4:00 p.m. Initial reports reaching the TNS says the hospital building was damaged in the shelling. A telecommunication centre located 300 meters south of Killinochchi hospital was badly damaged in the shelling by the government forces Tuesday morning. Read more

GA-Mullaithivu laments the plight of the people under her care
The latest influx of IDPs from Oddusuddan and Keppapulavu are occurring in the Mullaithivu district. Though the IDPs newly arriving bring whatever shelter material they can to put up a temporary shelter, the restrictions on shelter material imposed by the Sri Lankan Government is starkly visible in the new IDP settlement in Puthukudiyiruppu. 65 Tamil youths arrested after Wattala attack
Sixty five Tamil youths were arrested in cordon and search operations conducted by the Sri Lanka Police and Sri Lankan Army (SLA) on Monday and Tuesday following the suicide bomb attack at the Wattala on a camp of the Civil Volunteer Force (CVF). Negombo Saiva temple administrator shot dead
The administrator of Kali Amman Temple in Negombo, who is a Tamil resident in Negombo, was shot Tuesday night around 9.30 p.m. while he was returning home in his motor bike by unidentified armed men. Decomposed male body washed ashore, in Vadamaraadchi
Local fishermen found Wednesday morning a male body washed ashore between Chakkoaddai and Thikkam in Vadamaraadchi in a highly decomposed state. Point Pedro police visited the site and conducted inquiries, sources in Point Pedro said. Read more
