Hundreds Protests in Thirupoor, TN in support of Eelam Tamils

Thirupoor – Hundreds of people from Thirupoor, Tamil Nadu (TN) protested in front of the civic center of Thirupoor under the leadership of the province Secretary of All India Nadalum Makal Kadchy, Mr. Ganganasekaran.

Protesters condemn Sri Lanka the killings of Tamils in Eelam, Sri Lanka’s military operations against them in Eelam and urge the Center to forge a Cease Fire Agreement (CFA) and the international community to allow the international aid groups into Vanni area to alleviate the sufferings of over 327,000 internally displaced people including over 40,000 children who are living in subhuman conditions due to the relentless military operations in Vanni.

Some of the slogans of the protesters were:

“India, Instead of saving Singhalese Save Mumbai”

“Stop giving arms to Sri Lanka”

“Do not help Sri Lanka to kill Tamils”

“Stop helping Sri Lanka to chase Tamils from Sri Lanka”

In Sri Lanka our brethrens are living under the trees, makeshift camps and open air with no access to food, medicines, and basic essentials even during heavy monsoon rains and facing untold suffering.

Indian Central government acting as a mute spectator in the war against Eelam Tamils by Sri Lanka even after the numerous agitations by various parties and organizations in support of Eelam Tamils these behavior of our State and Central government cannot be accepted, a participant of the protest march told TNS reporter.

Tamil Nadu masses are going beyond their party affiliations taking part in the State wide famine protests, protest marches, seminars, and awareness campaigns and urging Center to stop the genocides of Eelam Tamils by Sri Lanka.
