India can only make way in Lankan issue – Muthu Sivalingam
Sri Lankan Minister for horticulture Muthu Sivalingam on Sunday said a solution to the ethnic problem in the island nation could be found within the legal frame work through talks. The Minister had went to Kumbakonam to attend the marriage function there, he said only india can intervene this issue and make the solution.
Mr. Muthu Sivalingam, who was here on private visit along with Provincial Minister Radhakrishnan, Political National Unity Minister Jegadeeswaran and Education Minister Sachidanandham, told reporters “talks should happen soon for the benefit of all”.
He said, “we have to safe guard and protect our people and we are duty bound to do it”. He also mentioned that they are in the central part of Srilanka, where there is a ban over newspapers, he couldn’t get the news about the war properly. Though other nations also giving their supporting hands, India can only urge the solution, he said.
