TNA leading in postal vote count in JMC election
Tamil National Alliance (TNA) is leading in postal vote count by polling 147 votes in the Jaffna Municipal Council (JMC) election while its rival the ruling United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) has polled 140 votes, according to unofficial Jaffna Secretariat sources.
Sources further said that Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) led by V. Anandasangaree has got 30 votes while United National Party (UNP) is in fourth position with 6 votes and Independent candidate Manickasothy polled 3 votes in the postal vote count.
Sources in the Jaffna Secretariat confirmed that TNA is leading in the count of postal votes.
