Problems within EPDP, due to Municipality Mayor appointment

Nesapriyan alias Apputhurai Emmanuel Mangaleswran, who has obtained the most number of preferential votes, had refused to attend the lunch which was invited by Minister Douglas Devananda, as he was not elected as the Mayor for Jaffna Municipality.Such incident happened yesterday.
It was stated Nesapriyan was invited for lunch two times but he had refused to accept the invitation.
Meanwhile Mangaleswaran had got himself admitted at the Jaffna teaching hospital, stating that he had been assaulted by the Tamil Liberation Alliance supporters.
Mangaleswaran obtained one thousand 394 preferential votes, but Yogeswari Patkunaraja succeeded in getting the Mayor’s position, even though she obtained 1250 votes.
