Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) soldiers brutally attacked fishermen from Vethaaraniyam in Tamil Nadu, killing one of them besides denuding and torturing fellow fishermen as they were fishing in Tamil Nadu seas on Wednesday. SINGHALESE REBELS BARRICADE THE UN STAFF IN COLOMBO
Singhalese rebels, sponsored by the Sri Lankan government, and organized by the Sri Lankan Minister of Housing, Construction, and Engineering Services and National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa, are at the UN premises in Colombo barricading the UN staff in the compound. Associate spokesperson for UN Secretary-General, Farhan Haq at the press briefing today (06) said the UN is seriously concerned over the situation which prevented the staff and visitors to the UN office from entering or leaving the premises. NO GSP PLUS to SRI LANKA – EU
Failing to respond to the conditions laid down by the commission, ended in loosing the GSP trade concessions for Sri Lanka as of August 2010, The European Union officially announced. The British clothing retailer, NEXT, has already stopped sourcing its garments from Sri Lanka, last week, because of the uncertainty of the continuance of the GSP+ duty concession from the European Union. NEXT is a British retailer, with its headquarters in England., and it is one of the United Kingdom’s largest clothing retailers, number three behind Marks & Spencer and Philip Green’s retail empire of Bhs and Arcadia Group. Sri Lankan government, the double headed beast is already in the battle field of “Eelam War 5”, using it’s intelligence force to eradicate the urge and the desire of the Tamil nation for a separate state, and they know for sure their ugly victory was by foul play, using the prohibited chemical weapons upon a starving nation and it’s cornered freedom fighters in the final phase of Eelam war 4. Sri Lanka needs to drink lots of water for it has eaten too much salt. The borrowed ideas and the same old trick will not work again the second time for them, Ban Ki Moon is no more a full moon to them, and the many girl friends (India, Pakistan, China, and so on) cannot be a wife.
