BLAKE TO ARRIVE IN SRI LANKA TODAY

The United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O. Blake, Jr. will visit Colombo, today July 21 and Male, Maldives on July 22, according to the State Department of USA.
The former US Ambassador to Sri Lanka is expected to have consultations with the Sri Lankan government, political parties, business leaders, and civil society. Mr. Blake met Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa recently in April at the SAARC summit in Thimpu, Bhutan.
This is Blake’s first visit to Maldives since he was appointed as the Assistant Secretary.
